7 Affirmations
Why 7 Affirmations?
The 7 Affirmations are leading TJCII in the quest to fulfill our call for a second Jerusalem Council.
In the hope of healing the most ancient wound among followers of Jesus, TJCII continues to address the schism between Jewish and Gentile in the early Body of Messiah that has rooted itself and endured to the current day. It is time for the Church to affirm the Messianic Jewish community.
As Christian denominations, networks and Christian leaders endorse the 7 Affirmations, TJCII will be fulfilling a major part of the vision entrusted to us by the Almighty and our Messiah Jesus.

What are the 7 Affirmations?
We affirm the election of Israel...
We affirm that Jews who come to faith in the Messiah, Jesus, are called to retain their Jewish identity...
We affirm the formation of Messianic Jewish congregations as a significant and effective way to express Jewish collective identity (in Jesus)...
We affirm our willingness as an ecclesiastical body to build bridges...
We affirm our willingness to share our resources...
We affirm our willingness to be a voice within our own ecclesiastical structures...
We affirm our willingness to be a voice within our own ecclesiastical structures and spheres of influence against all forms of anti-Semitism, replacement theology (supersessionism) and teaching that precludes the expression of Jewish identity in Jesus.
Finally, we affirm that as Jewish and Gentile expressions of life in Jesus grow organically side by side with distinct identities that God will be glorified...
